A STATEMENT FROM JOE KLEIN, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE ATLANTIC LEAGUE

Bridgeport, CT – July 12, 2004 – The game between the Bridgeport Bluefish and Long Island Ducks tonight has been declared a 3-3 tie. Joe Klein, Executive Director of the Atlantic League, has decided that due to the forecasted weather conditions for tomorrow, July 13, and in deference of the timing of the All-Star Game, that a new nine inning game will be played in it’s entirety on Monday, August 9 at 7:05 p.m. at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard. The winner of Monday the 9th’s game will be declared the Atlantic League North Division First Half Champions. |
